The start of a new year is always our busiest time of year when it comes to dog training, we often have dog owners who have adopted over the holiday break or owners who have made big plans for the new year and keen to start the new plans to spend more time with their furry family members. Like many New Year’s resolutions they sometimes start off strong and fade out as the year continues. So what better way then ensuring your plans involve someone else to keep you motivated and on track. Is your plan to exercise more? Enrol in our classes to learn how to loose lead walk with your dog! Have you adopted over the break and now you are back working, your new addition isn’t handling being alone so much? We often see owners struggling with simple issues in the home but often don’t know where to go to get help and feel frustrated and isolated. We can assure you, that everyone comes across challenges when adding a new pet into the home and you are not alone. We are here to help you with that transition and set your dog up for success. All of our classes are run by trainers who are passionate about dogs, who thrive on seeing you succeed, the last thing we want to see is dogs that end up being surrendered, or ignored due to miscommunications between species. We want your family dog to be a positive experience and not a hindrance, unfortunately dogs cannot communicate in ways we understand so we have the professionals available to teach you how to understand what your dog is saying.

Dogs are a great way of helping us stay motivated and keeping our stress levels minimal. However, that can change abruptly when they aren’t give the correct training and mental/physical stimulation. You can learn how dogs learn, how to prevent unwanted behaviours, how to teach your dog’s basic manners that will come in handy for real life situations. Our aim here at School for Dogs, is to help you have a well-adjusted member of your family who will be included in everyday life and reward you with company, loyalty and lots of pats!
